Story[]
In the game, The Emperor Uriel Septim VII has been trapped in an alternate dimension, and is being impersonated by the Imperial Battlemage; Jagar Tharn. However, he is unable to corrupt his apprentice Ria Silmane, and so, he kills her as a result. Ria manages to hold out long enough to guide your character out of the dungeon. After that, she lacks the power to appear physically, and appears instead, in your dreams. She instructs you to find certain artifacts. When you assemble all of the artifacts it gives you the Staff of Chaos, with which you battle Tharn, and free the Emperor.
